During the winter months, and as conditions allow, we offer horse-drawn sleigh rides through the woods and fields of our farm here in Braintree, Vermont. This is a traditional sleigh-ride experience, featuring views of the White River Valley and Vermont’s working landscape.

Rates:

1-4 people: $50/person (plus tax);

4+ people: $200 flat rate (plus tax)

Capacity:

We offer two sleigh sizes. small sleigh carries 1-4 people; large sleigh carries 4-10 (depending on age of riders).


Duration:

Rides typically last 35-45 minutes. The route we travel is approximately 2 miles long through forest and open fields.

SCHEDULING AND PAYMENT

Please fill out the scheduling form below to begin the booking process. during the 2025-2026 season, we are offering rides friday-sunday during the following weekends and on some holidays:

december 5-7; 12-14; 19-21; 24 (christmas eve); 26-28; 31 (New years eve)

January 1-4; 9-11; 16-19; 23-25; 30-31

february 1; 6-8; 13-16; 20-22; 27-28

march 1; 6-8; 13-15; 20-22; 27-29

Once we receive your request and determine if the requested time is available you will receive an email with instructions for how to submit your payment. Once payment is received, we will send you a confirmation email.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

Sleigh rides will be held snow or shine!

Sleigh rides may be canceled at the teamsters’ discretion for reasons including but not limited to unsafe conditions for the sleigh, horse health and safety, or public health and safety considerations. In this instance, a full refund minus transaction fees will be issued.

a Customer may request a cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances (E.G extreme weather events) and receive a credit for a future sleigh ride.

Under Vermont Law, an equine activity sponsor is not liable for an injury to, or the death of, a participant in equine activities resulting from the inherent risks of equine activities that are obvious and necessary, pursuant to 12 V.S.A. § 1039. (Added 1995, No. 136 (Adj. Sess.), § 2.)
